After breakfast with family, the urge to enter in the studio confirms that I am on the right track.
Engineer. After 15 years around wood, steel and micro-processor, I founded Matemica, connecting technical skills, vision and balance.
A return to creative origins, to seek uniqueness and meaning in things.
Matemica was born to fill the gap
between idea and making-of,
between design and art.
NAME
A blend of mathematics and material:
materia merges with science
in the pursuit of harmony and wonder.
It brings together a passion for experimentation
with our technical and scientific DNA.
LOGO
A drop of water, as it falls,
is crossed by a ray of light,
taking on the colors of the sunset.
The drop represents the human dimension;
light the energy, passion and positivity of the inner creative process.
TERRITORY
The choice of territory is the key to this project, making it unique.
Away from the industrial frenzy and the big design hubs, we move without being influenced by economic dynamics.
We are at the entrance of the Maira Valley, alpine territory, rich in larch and chestnut trees, water, light and long shadows, culture and knowledge.
Here, against all preconceptions, we ride the AI era: we anticipate a new way of working, which allows us to be personal in our thinking, local in the process and global in the project. The network of knowledge and information becomes a tool for rescaling end products designed by human and for human.
